How to Resolve Polar Connectivity Issues with the Phlex Swim App

Are you experiencing connectivity issues between your Polar device and the Phlex Swim App? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to troubleshoot and resolve these issues:

If Connectivity Issues Persist, Follow These Solutions:

Solution 1: Unpair and Repair the Polar Device
In the Phlex app, navigate to settings -> Device management. Here, unpair your Polar device and then pair it again.

Solution 2: Forget the Polar Device in Phone Settings
Go to your phone's settings -> Bluetooth, and select your Polar device. Choose to "forget" or "unpair" the device. Repeat this process in the Phlex device management settings as described above.

Solution 3: Factory Reset the Device
If the connectivity issues still persist, a factory reset may be necessary. Follow the steps outlined in our Factory Reset Guide.

Step 1: Check Background Apps

Ensure the Polar Flow app is NOT open in the background.

Having this app running can hijack the connection between your Polar device and the Phlex Swim App.

Step 2: Review Previous Pairing History

If the Polar device has been previously paired with your phone outside of the Phlex Swim App, this could cause connection problems.

Make sure to unpair any previous connections that were made outside the Phlex Swim App.

Step 3: Verify Device Firmware

It's important to check that your Polar device has the correct firmware. To do this, download the Polar Flow app on your computer by clicking here. Please note that we require devices to have at least firmware version 2.1.0 to work correctly with the Phlex software.

Step 4: Other Logical Checks

Ensure your Polar device is charged and in range of the device running the Phlex Swim App when you are pairing. During pairing, you will see a device number that should match the device ID printed on the Polar device.

Also, check that your phone's Bluetooth setting is enabled.
